When we
are not able to make choices in our life from a position of
freedom – that is to say, freedom from the mind – the result
is always uncertainty, stress and then depression. This
freedom from the mind can not be attained through the right
perception of things, but through what bhagavad-gita calls
vyavasyatmika buddhi resolute understanding.
Unless
one has attained this resolute understanding through the
practice of sakhyibhav, the practice of being observer and
objective, one is in the bondage of the mind.
